About Carpool

Carpool is the logistics infrastructure powering the modern car economy. We combine a proprietary technology platform with a vetted carrier network of 13,000+ transporters to move 200,000+ vehicles annually for dealerships, auctions, OEMs, and fleets nationwide. Headquartered in Atlanta, Carpool is one of the fastest-growing companies in vehicle logistics – and we’re building the team to match.

The Role

Carpool is hiring a Manager of Carrier Operations to lead the team responsible for developing carrier relationships, expanding network capacity, and supporting reliable load execution. This role manages and develops a team of Carrier Account Executives while working closely with Operations, Sales, and leadership to improve coverage, pricing, and carrier performance. The manager will turn market data and operating results into practical strategies that strengthen Carpool’s carrier network as vehicle volume grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Carrier Account Executives, setting clear performance objectives and tracking team KPIs.
  • Build and maintain strategic carrier relationships to improve lane coverage, pricing, service reliability, and long-term engagement.
  • Develop carrier acquisition and onboarding strategies that expand capacity in priority markets and lanes.
  • Use market data, carrier history, and load performance to guide rate negotiations and capacity decisions.
  • Monitor carrier performance, identify recurring service issues, and implement corrective actions with the Carrier and Operations teams.
  • Resolve carrier-related delays, coverage gaps, and escalated load issues while protecting the customer experience.
  • Improve carrier workflows and identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes through Carpool’s technology platform.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Product, and leadership to align carrier strategy with customer demand and company growth targets.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, vehicle logistics, or carrier sales.
  • At least three years of experience leading and developing a team responsible for measurable operating or sales results.
  • Strong carrier negotiation and relationship-management skills, including experience balancing service, capacity, and cost.
  • Experience using KPIs, market data, and operational reporting to evaluate performance and make decisions.
  • Sound judgment under pressure and the ability to resolve transportation issues without losing sight of the customer or carrier relationship.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach employees and work across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

Carpool offers a competitive compensation package: base salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. We’re a venture-backed company headquartered in Buckhead at Atlanta Tech Village (ATV), a startup community with mentors and advisors built in. Carpool Logistics is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Why Carpool

This role has direct ownership of the team and carrier relationships that keep Carpool’s network moving. You will work closely with senior leadership, Operations, Sales, and Product to shape processes that affect pricing, capacity, and execution across the business. The work is visible, measurable, and tied directly to a network of 13,000+ transporters moving more than 200,000 vehicles each year.
