What will you do?Carpool is looking for an ambitious Intern to help support our accounting activities. As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with various accounting functions such as invoicing customer, paying carriers, and assisting with month-end close activities.
As in every startup you will be wearing multiple hats beyond the core responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to get very broad exposure to building and running a business.
Responsibilities:
- Create and send invoices to customers
- Verify and process daily accounts payable for our suppliers
- Reconcile entries in QuickBooks to maintain a balanced general ledger
- Respond to customer and carrier inquires on a timely basis
- Assist Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks
Qualifications:
- Accounting or finance majors preferred.
- Juniors & seniors only. Must be able to work 28 hours/week minimum.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to thrive under deadlines, multi-task, and work with a sense of urgency.
- Creative problem-solving, detail oriented and strong organization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Compensation:
We are proud to offer a competitive hourly pay of $17/hour.
