The Role
Carpool is hiring an Application Support Analyst Intern to support the internal tools and applications that power our vehicle logistics business. You will work directly with operations, product, and engineering to investigate user issues, manage support tickets, and improve internal documentation. This is a hands-on internship with responsibility for real support requests and production issues.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Level 1 application support for Carpool employees, customers, and carriers. Investigate user-reported issues, resolve common problems, and escalate technical issues with clear documentation.
- Manage and respond to application support tickets in Jira.
- Assist with reports and dashboards used to support operational and business decisions.
- Train users on Carpool’s transportation management system, mobile applications, and other internal tools.
- Document processes, common issues, and resolutions in the internal knowledge base.
- Work with product and engineering to reproduce bugs, communicate user impact, and suggest application improvements.
- Translate technical information into clear guidance for non-technical users.
What You Bring
- Current junior or senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SQL, APIs, web applications, or similar technical concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to investigate unfamiliar issues.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with end users.
- The ability to manage assigned work independently and recognize when an issue should be escalated.
- Experience with dashboards such as Tableau or Amazon QuickSight is preferred.
- Exposure to PHP, Laravel, another backend framework, or technical support work is helpful but not required.
Compensation
Hourly pay rate: $15.00 – $17.00
