About Carpool
Carpool is the logistics infrastructure powering the modern car economy. We combine a proprietary technology platform with a vetted carrier network of 13,000+ transporters to move 200,000+ vehicles annually for dealerships, auctions, OEMs, and fleets nationwide. Headquartered in Atlanta, Carpool is one of the fastest-growing companies in vehicle logistics – and we’re building the team to match.
The Role
Carpool is hiring a Dealer Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth across an assigned territory. This field-based individual contributor will manage and expand an existing portfolio of dealer accounts while identifying and closing new business. You will own the territory’s customer relationships and sales pipeline from initial prospecting through implementation and ongoing account growth.
What You’ll Do
- Own revenue growth across your assigned territory by managing the full sales pipeline from prospecting through close.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned portfolio of dealer accounts.
- Grow existing accounts through regular outreach, strategic account planning, business reviews, and expansion into additional locations or shipment lanes.
- Generate new opportunities through referrals, networking, territory research, and direct prospecting.
- Reactivate dormant accounts and identify opportunities created by dealership growth, consolidation, or changing transportation needs.
- Maintain accurate opportunities, forecasts, and same-day sales activity in HubSpot.
- Lead product demonstrations showing dealer customers how to quote, book, and track vehicle shipments through Carpool’s platform.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts, then coordinate with internal teams to implement and support new accounts.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least four years of automotive or logistics sales experience.
- A record of growing existing accounts and closing new business within an assigned territory.
- Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline activity and forecasting, with HubSpot experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and business planning skills.
- The ability to communicate with stakeholders at every level of a dealer organization, including executive leadership.
- The organization and judgment to manage a field-based territory with limited day-to-day supervision.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
Compensation
Carpool offers a competitive compensation package: base salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. We’re a venture-backed company headquartered in Buckhead at Atlanta Tech Village (ATV), a startup community with mentors and advisors built in. Why Carpool
This role provides direct ownership of a growing dealer territory, including the freedom to develop new relationships and expand established accounts. You will sell a platform built specifically for vehicle logistics, work directly with Carpool’s leadership and operations teams, and see the results of your work in booked shipments and account revenue. Carpool already moves more than 200,000 vehicles annually, giving you an established network and service platform to bring to Florida dealer customers.
