Who are you? We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager to lead our Carrier Account Executives and develop our carrier relationships, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and long-term growth within our transportation network. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive carrier engagement and performance.
What will you do? As a Manager, you will oversee carrier development, manage a team of Carrier Account Executives, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize carrier operations. Responsibilities:
Carrier Development & Strategy
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with carriers to optimize lane coverage and pricing.
- Proactively identify and onboard new carriers to enhance our network capacity.
- Establish key carrier partnerships and ensure their continued engagement within the Carpool ecosystem.
- Utilize market data and analytics to negotiate competitive carrier rates.
- Monitor carrier performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Leverage technology to drive automation and improve carrier operations.
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Carrier Account Executives to meet company goals.
- Set performance objectives and track team KPIs to ensure accountability and success.
- Provide coaching and training to enhance negotiation, communication, and carrier management skills.
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture within the team.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align carrier strategies with business objectives.
Problem-Solving & Process Improvement
- Identify and resolve transportation delays or carrier-related issues efficiently.
- Implement process improvements to enhance carrier experience and operational efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with operations and sales teams to optimize load execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or carrier sales.
- Leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, work under deadlines, and drive results in a high-pressure setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience leveraging data analytics and technology to drive decision-making.
